Nursing care
At Meadowcare Home the aim of the management and care staff is to provide personal and nursing care of the highest quality. We encourage self help and independence in order to maintain quality of life for all residents for as long as possible.
Our philosophy is to promote quality care through person-centred care. This is achieved with prompts and encouragements, and by respecting the resident’s personal choices, rights, dignity, privacy and independence all within a safe, secure, happy and nurturing environment.
Personal care and health care
In pursuit of the best possible care we will produce, regularly review and update an individual care plan for each resident to cover all aspects of their care. In addition we recognise that life in a communal setting and the need to accept help with personal tasks can be invasive of a resident's ability to enjoy the pleasure of being alone and undisturbed. We therefore strive to retain as much privacy and dignity as possible for our residents.
Lifestyle and fulfilment
We want to help our residents to realise personal aspirations and abilities in all aspects of their lives. To respond to the variety of needs and wishes of residents, we will aim to provide a lifestyle for them which will satisfy their social, cultural, religious and recreational interests and needs. We aim to help residents exercise the opportunity to select from a range of options in all aspects of their lives, such as providing meals which enable residents as far as possible to decide for themselves where, when and with whom they consume food and drink of their choice.
We are aware that our staff will always play the key role in residents' welfare. To maximise this contribution, we will properly vet all personnel employed and ensure that all staff are properly trained for the tasks required and approach their work with a caring and respectful manner.
